Ik ben Mathieu Goudsmits en heb 33 jaar ervaring in product, afdelings en business management.
In mijn tijd als productmanager verwierf ik de bijnamen Q en MacGyver omdat ik sneller oplosssingen bedacht dan de ontwikkelafdeling en mijn commerciële skills maakten dat ik bij het laatste product uitgroeide tot business manager van een business unit die uiteindelijk 35 M euro omzet had met 30% winst.
Afhankelijk van mijn rol kan ik me goed opstellen als faciliterend manager maar net zo goed als iemand die stuurt op processen of cijfers waarbij ik plezier beleef aan het laten kloppen van prognoses en de verlies en winst cijfers.
Ik ben op zoek naar werk waarbij ik die dingen waar ik goed in ben, commercieel denken, technisch inzicht en het managen van een team, kan gebruiken. Bij voorkeur in een innovatieve omgeving met aandacht voor de mensen.
In zo een omgeving komt mijn gedrevenheid om er iets van te maken het meest tot zijn recht. En ben ik net een goede wiskey. Gerijpt met de jaren.

SecurityMatters is a Dutch-based start-up that develops cutting-edge network monitoring, intelligence and protection technology to make its customers more secure and in control. SecurityMatters has developed a completely new approach to secure computer networks, called self-configuring deep protocol network whitelisting, which is the result of more than 20 years of research and experience in the field of network intrusion detection.
Main tasks helping setting up the business processes conform ISO, structure the organisation for growth.

Main function: Director Research
Location: Eindhoven High Tech Campus

As director founded the Irdeto research department, in 2008, which is now responsible for 80% of Irdeto's annual patents since then. Set up relations with universities national and international, hosted many interns for their final work on masters and PhD.

Main Function: Business /Marketing and Sales Director Product group CryptoWorks.

Function description:
In both roles leading and managing the CryptoWorks group which was responsible for the conditional access activities for Pay TV and IP broadcasting within Philips. As business director fully responsible for creating, maintaining, improving and controlling a profitable market position. (Bottom line responsibility). This implied the development and implementation of a business policy that had to fit in and support the overall CryptoTec business policy. As such I realized an average growth of the group and turnover of 40% per year with an IFO of 30%.

Act as the business owner of the CryptoWorks conditional accesses system. Build the complete product range from idea up to a competitive product with a growth potential to become a number three player in the world-market of digital conditional access systems.
Initialise and specify the required products. Definition of price structures for licensing policy and negotiate purchase prices for third party components.

Consultant: 2013 up to now. Assisting Gotec BCS, in designing business models for LED energy saving projects and re-designed one of their main products for even more energy efficiency.
