Mijn dromen en ambities
Dear sir/mam,
As soon as I saw your posting, I knew it was the perfect position for me – and that I was the perfect solution for you. Let me explain further:
As you will see from the attached resume, I’ve worn a lot of different hats. As a technical maintenance guy, I have done it mostly all. From replacing bearings for all kinds of equipment to making new parts cut from raw steel plate with acetylene torch or plasma cutter or just lubricating various parts as preventive maintenance, you name it, I’ve done it. I’m extremely motivated, organized and disciplined.
While my official title at G.van Beek en Zn was Robotics Programmer, in reality I was known as the person who could do everything. Hats I wore there included the guy who decided which robots to buy, the one who designed and build the tables that would have the product to be welded in it, the man who was actually programming the robots to weld the products, the person who trained and motivated the personnel that would to the actual production with the robots and last but not least the one the called when something went wrong and I had get everything back on track as soon as possible. We were a small company where everyone had to pitch in, and I thrived on the excitement of being involved at every level of every project.
At M.R.C. my job description was Project Leader, but also there I was the man who took care of all kinds of projects. Small or big , even if it was only helping out a colleague who needed an extra hand. Here I learned about generators/ engines and the way they are coupled to provide worry-free electricity. Deadlines where always there and not always easy. But always matched by us.
No matter where I’ve been, I’ve produced topnotch work because I’m dedicated to making sure that each and every project or job gets all the attention it needs and gets done in a timely manner.
While the technical area is my passion, steering people and motivating them is also in my blood. Keeping on top of projects and making sure all parts get to the finish line at the same time is one thing I do best. The ability to juggle projects and never missing a deadline didn’t just develop through my professional experience. I’ve learned to budget my time and my assets, and most importantly, I’ve learned to be flexible and to get things done.
I know what you’re thinking – that yes, I am the perfect person for the job, but there is no way you can afford me. But I’m not in it for the money – well, I am, but it isn’t the most
important thing. I’m looking for a position where my contributions count and my efforts are appreciated – and hopefully a long-term commitment. So let’s talk soon.
Sincerely,
Jeroen
