Task : Building up a company of a national mobile data and automatic vehicle location network. Responsible for 30 FTE’s professionals and indirect > 100 FTE’s (direct linked Service Providers). General management and reporting to Management Board and General Meeting of Shareholders (Securicor International, Achmea, ING Bank). Also involved with European roll out and International Partnerships with Tractebel (Belgium), Siemens (Germany), Thomson (France), Austria Post, Telefónica (Spain) and Greece (Greek Post plus high networth individuals).

Remarks : Greenfield operation, building up a company from scratch.

From Feb. 92 - Aug. 95: Achmea Asset Management (Apeldoorn)

Position : Investment director.

Task : Building up a profitable venture fund;
Greenfield operration. Hands on management. Responsible for own 'captive’ investment fund within Achmea. Budget increase from ƒ 30 mln. to ƒ 500 mln. Reporting to chairman Centraal Beheer Insurance Cie.

Remarks : Very succesful Investment Fund without failures. ROI far above the branch benchmark. Responsible for placing this activity ‘at arms length’ within Achmea Asset Management. During this period also boardmember of approx. 10 companies.

FromJul. 87- Feb. 92 : Pierson, Heldring & Pierson N.V. (Amsterdam)

Position : Financial Engineer/Investment Manager Pierson Investment Cie.

Task : Built up of new activity within Investment Banking Department: Mergers and Acquisitions, financial restructuring, management consulting. Reporting to Director.
