(Sr.) Project Engineer / Manager with hands on experience in Oil, Gas & Renewable Energy industry. Involved in and focussed on Capex projects abroad (EMEA region) in an international environment, adhering to local laws and regulations as well as company values.
I'm operating, structured and from a pragmatical point of view, in an EPCM environment, involved with multi disciplinary projects from k-o up to and incl. commissioning. Responsible for coordination & execution of Concept-, Basic- and Detail Engineering unrolled to construction, MOC's, safety studies(RIE, PSSR) and internal- & external alignment. The range of financial scopes I'm dealing with differs from €50K up to €500K (very small projects), from €500K up to €5M (small projects). From the perspective of Plant Owners engineering is outsourced, started up by a RFQ and BoD, secured by my productplanning and budget estimate. Relevant product- & information phases are streamlined by Prince2 experience & knowledge.
My KPI's are perseverance, inter-activity and responsibility towards the team, with attention to the human dimension.
My objectives are product improvement and high ROI, imperative to keep the process conditions fit for purpose on the long run.
How do I get the utmost pratical result out of it ?!
Example of Lean Management implementation shows my period with Cabot RT Botlek: in particular the execution of mechanical modifications regarding the pellet production process. Prevention of pulverization and controlled flow handling were the benchmarks. Less exhaust of dust and a high ROI were the results.
More recently with Tatasteel IJmuiden: to improve the quality of the slag process and therefore use 2 instead of 3 steel furnaces on a permanent base. Continue addition of nitrogen(N2) in both furnaces and an economic storage & transport were the benchmarks. Less waste of energy, optimal use of production space and more economical profit of the furnaces on the long run. It generates a ROI of 240%.
